My indoor photography workshops are designed to help you get a good understanding of your camera, in a controlled environment. Using simple props and methods, you learn how to use your camera beyond the Green Auto mode and P mode.
I'll run through your cameras functions and you'll try out everything we discuss to get a working understanding of the shooting modes.
Portrait and Lighting workshops are also available. Please contact me for details.
Live in Devon or Planning a holiday? I offer Mini Workshops to help you get better landscape photos, improve your photography & better your editing knowledge. These can be from total beginner to someone who wants to improve their skills with their camera.
These are 1-2-1 so you get the best opportunity to learn how to use your camera. Additional follow up sessions in Lightroom can be added on to learn how to edit and improve skills and take control of your growing photo collections.
The Mini sessions are short, so whether on holiday or a busy lifestyle I offer sessions of just 1 or 2 hours, tailored to your needs.
Depending on whether you prefer Coastline or Moors, I have some great locations that we can easily explore.
Day Workshops are run in the same manner as the Mini Workshops, but we spend longer on location. 3-4 hours, with a follow up editing session a day or 2 after.
These workshops can take place in severval locations on Dartmoor or along the South West Coastline.
All my tutoring is done using your equipment, so you learn using your camera, your photos, your setup. So don't forget to pack your Camera and Laptop in your suitcase! (if on holiday)
You can tell me what you what to learn, or what you'd like improve on, We work at your pace.
My tutoring is primarily done using Lightroom or Photoshop, but I can help with other software editing tools too.
A days workshop is 4 hours on Dartmoor and a separate 2 hour Lightroom session.
The goal is for you to not only learn some new skills but also go home with some photos you would be proud of.
If Dartmoor isn't your style, a local beach could also be chosen, or some local architecture.
If you felt really up to the challenge of the Devon scenery, you could also try your hand at some panoramas.
After a workshop, you can then have a session on storing and editing your photos.
I've spoken to lots of photographers and a common question, is What exactly is Lightroom? How does it Store my Photos? And other similar questions. If this is you I can clear up all the confusion.
Or, if you already use Lightroom, but want to learn more about it, I can tailor the sessions to your needs.
I cover the basics, to cataloging your photos with keywords and of course how to improve your photos with editing
Photoshop sessions are also avaliable, for people who want to do more with their editing, covering layers, masks and how it fits in with Lightroom.
More tutoring information is available on my Tutoring page or contact me for more details.
